From #32 to #20

Hello football fans! I hope everyone was able to tune in to ESPN and catch all the amazing footage. How cool to be a part of something like that!! More great memories for our Sooner.

Yes, the first game is a week away, team pictures have been taken, and the media guide is already out, BUT our Sooner is no longer #32. All of you who have t-shirts sporting a #32 just have an excuse to get new shirts!! Marshall is officially #20!!!!!! (which really is closer to #2 and #22, right??) Marshall and the defensive #32 were both on the same special teams, so since Flemming is a year older...Marshall got to change.

It's officially a week until game time!!! BOOMER SOONER! 

August 19th & ESPN

Friday was the final practice of the preseason! And then the Sooners had almost an entire weekend to themselves before Monday. Classes start up Monday, along with more practices. We also start the 2 weekend countdown to the 1st game. Football Season...here we come!

August 17th & August 18th

Hello football fans! Only ONE day left before preseason practice is officially over! Updates tonight focus on the last 2-a-day practice yesterday and scrimmage today.

Thursday, August 18th featured the last scrimmage. And Norman weather was exceptionally hot and humid. I was not able to attend due to my first day of inservice, but here's what Soonersports.com has to offer! I've noticed they don't had too much on scrimmage days...very secretive with the plays...

And of course, no video updates from the scrimmage, but Marshall informs me that he had a 10-yard catch for a 1st down! Cheers for #32!!!

August 16th

Preason practice is winding down and the players are counting down the last few days until Friday, signalling the end of Presason 2011. Tomorrow will be the last 2-a-day practice, Thursday features another scrimmage (conveniently happening on the same day I go back to school...grrr...), and Friday ends it all! Boomer Sooner.

August 12th, 13th, 14th, & 15th

As I've missed 4 updates (4?!?!?!) I'm going to try to give the quick version in one post. We'll see how that goes. The main event that I missed covering (AND attending) was the scrimmage on Saturday. Seriously, probably on the 2nd scrimmage I've missed since I've been in Norman. And Marshall just happened to have a great day. Today was also the 2nd to last 2-a-day! Only one more to go...Wednesday.

Also, ESPN joined the Sooners for the first 2 weeks of practice, filming what it's like to be an OU football player, both on and off the practice field. They did the same thing with Alabama last year, if anyone remembers that?? The footage will begin showing on August 23rd, but for details as to which ESPN station to watch (and what time...) follow the link!!

Missing??

Hello football fans! No, it's not your imagination....the posts have abruptly quit since last Thursday. Your faithful reporter has been in Goodland visiting family and attending a wedding. I am now back in Bushton and tomorrow will be back to Norman, so posts will once again start coming on a regular schedule. Sorry for the inconvenience.  

August 10th: Practice 8

The Sooners only had to endure one practice today. Unfortunately for Musil fans, many of the photos and videos included defense, safeties, and o-line. So we're left with one small photo!

Tomorrow is another 2-a-day practice, so pray for cooler weather and strength for our boy!

August 9th: Practice 6 & 7

Good morning Sooner fans! Sorry there was no update last night due to inclement weather here in Kansas. My laptop has a faulty battery, so those little power surges might have fried what's left of my laptop and then there would be NO updates! So today you'll get 2 updates.

Tuesday the Sooners battled the heat through their first 2-a-day practice, one early and one in the evening. Luckily, they only have 3 2-a-day practices left!

August 8th: Practice 5

Monday. The beginning of another work week for most of the world, but for the Sooners it's the 5th preseason practice and one day closer to that first game day. Tomorrow will be the first 2-a-day, but Monday was another early morning practice, meetings, and lifts. Made even better for our Sooner by lunch with his 2 favorite girls!!! (I'll give you 1 guess as to who those girls are....)

Sorry for the delay between Saturday's update and today.  I was away from a computer. (go ahead...call me mean names...) I promise it won't happen again!
