First, please let me apologize for the late nature of this blog post. Between football, family, and school the Football Freelancer is having a hard time figuring out which end is up this week. A thousand apologies.
But now for some information about the OU vs Colorado game held at Owens Memorial Stadium in Norman last weekend. It was the 2nd to last home game for the Sooners this season and the latest game any of us had ever attended. With kick-off beginning at approximately 8:15, it was nearly 12:00 AM before we made our way back out of the stadium. It was a long, adventurous day, but completely worth the wait.
Coming off the lose against Mizzou, the Sooners were out to prove that they were indeed a driving force in the Big 12. With a convincing win over the Buffalo, they proved just that. It was almost like watching a whole different team on the field. The team from the Columbia game had disappeared (thank goodness!) and been replaced with the Sooners we had grown to love through the first 6 games of the season.

| First carry of college career! |
The 4th quarter created the most excitement for the Musil crew. Our #32 played the entire quarter. And if you had the game on at home, you were able to see it as well! But most exciting of all was that Marshall carried the ball in his first game-time situation in college football. To some that might not seem like an important event, but to us it was momentous. Seeing Marshall with the ball in his hands is so natural. It's the only way we've ever seen him and he's beginning to look right at home on the D1 football field. His blocking is also improving. Although, Cousin Chris had something to say about not blocking till the whistle ;) I might be biased, but I am always able to see an improvement in his abilities and game-time play every time he steps on the field.

| Mom and Grandma |
This game we had quite a crew. No picture exists of all of us, but our posse included the Hansens from Colby, KS: Tina, Bruce, and Maura. Mom, Tim, and Grandma from Bushton, KS. And old friends from our hometown of LaCrosse, KS: Cindi and Ross Wilson. We were very excited to see Cindi and Ross. It made the game almost feel like a Friday night Leopard game back home! Thanks for making the trip, friends!
